Lighting and Building Show - Frankfort

My class took a LONG day trip to Frankfort to see the lighting and building expo.  In class we are participating in a lighting competition called OLED.  We attended the expo for ideas and inspiration.  It was a very interesting trip.  We took an ICE train and left at 6am!  Amanda and I had to wake up around 4am to make it to the Hopfbahnhof on time! The train ride was about three and a half hours and we spent the entire day at the expo.  We left Frankfort around 7 at night and arrived home by 11, it was a long day!

Walking tour!!!

Today was good!! Amanda and I met up with a few other students who are studying abroad at our school and went on a walking tour.  One of the German students took us around, it was a LONG day of walking but we saw some really amazing stuff.  We met at Gendarmenmarkt Square, in the middle at the Friedrich Schiller Statue, a famous German poet.  Surrounding the statue is the Französischer Dom, Deutscher Dom and the Konzerthaus.  From there we walked to the Checkpoint Charlie and saw the remains of the Berlin Wall.  Then we went to the Berliner Dom, and Museum Island!!
